Dear Fellow Graduate Students and Researchers,

We are delighted to announce that the 12th GLCACS Annual Conference is
coming up at the University of Chicago on May 10th, 2008. We sincerely
welcome all graduate students, post-doc fellows and researchers in Chemistry
, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Material Sciences, Biomedical
Engineering, and all other related areas to join us and present your
researches.

GLCACS aims at facilitating communication and career development for all
researchers in chemistry-related fields. Every year, GLCACS invites VPs from
major chemistry, bio-pharmaceutical and energy companies and professors
from prestigious universities to give speeches addressing current issues. We
also gather researchers from more than ten universities to exchange ideas
in the Poster Session and to compete for a total of $600 cash award. In
addition, recruiters from seven major companies, including Abbott, BP,
Hospira, Baxter and UOP, will attend the career fair and present career
opportunities to students and researchers. This year, you are all encouraged
to join our new panel on "Marketing Yourself & Wow the Interview" and learn
more insights and tactics on how to extend your own careers.

Chinese American Chemical Society, Great Lakes Chapter (GLCACS) is the local
chapter of Chinese American Chemical Society (CACS) in the Great Lakes area
, including Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, and Ohio.
CACS is a Chinese-American professional organization affiliated with both
the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) and the American
Chemical Society (ACS). Since its founding, GLCACS has played an active role
in promoting professional development and networking for GLCACS members and
non-members alike.
